Groundwater Monitoring

The library has received the latest results of groundwater monitoring regarding Raytheon Company (formerly Hughes Aircraft Company) located at 1901 West Malvern Avenue. The data were collected in June, 2007 and the report is dated August 27, 2007.

Fox Fullerton Gains Momentum

At tonight's meeting of the Redervelopment Design Review Committee the request by the Fullerton Historic Theater Foundation and Tom Tice for approval of Phase 1 of the construction project will be discussed. Commission staff recommends approval of the request with some conditions. The staff documentation is available in the library.

The Committee's October 25 meeting agenda was received this morning. New business includes the proposal for a new restaurant at 208 N. Harbor.

Restaurant Overlay District

On the agenda of the Redevelopment Design Review Committee for the meeting on Thursday, September 27, 2007 is this item:

A request for a development project to remodel an existing approximately 6,000 square foot commercial building to create restaurant tenant spaces with six on-site parking spaces; and a development project to construct patios for outdoor dining on private property on property in the Restaurant Overlay District at 133 West Chapman Avenue.

Here's another chance for the public to make its voice heard regarding the future General Plan of our city:

The General Plan Advisory Committee meets on September 10, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. in the Mural Room of the Police Department (corner Commonwealth and Highland). Persons addressing this committe shall be limited to ten minutes unless an extensino of time is granted by the Chairman.

Draft EIR for Jefferson Commons Specific Plan

The 2 volume Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Jefferson Commons Specific Plan is available at the library as well as online.

Amerige Heights Specific Plan Change

There will be public hearing at the July 25 meeting of the planning commission regarding "a request for a major site plan and tract map to construct 136 attached residential condominium units and amend the Amerige Heights Specific Plan (Amendment #1) to change the northern 10 acres of the area currently identified as Mixed-Use with Elder Care Overlay to a residential neighborhood (Neighborhood 6) and eliminate the Elder Care Overlay in its entirety on property located on the south side of Hughes Drive, between Bastanchury Greenbelt Park and Nicolas Street.

Fullerton Municipal Airport - Noise and Safety Committee

The 2006 Fullerton Airport Noise and Safety Committee Annual Report has arrived at the library. It has also been submitted to the City Councils of Buena Park and Fullerton.
